Avril Ramona Lavigne Whibley, born in Belleville, Ontario on September 27, 1984. Daughter of John and Judy Lavigne, she was born into a Catholic family. Avril sings since very young, she began singing in the church choir. His mother called her "Little bird song."
When she was fifteen years old her parents agreed to send her to New York to try her luck as a singer. Already in New York she recorded her first demo tape, which drew the attention of Antonio "LA" Reid, who liked the attitude of the girl. The contract was closed in December 2001 and from there began the preparations for their first album Let Go. Under My Skin is her second album, released on May 25, 2004. In July 2006 she married Deryck Whibley. In 2007 she released "The Best Damn Thing”, which was a huge success, in eighteen days it sold two million copies.
