She is Spanish. She is tall and she has got brown eyes and brown hair.
Her father, David, was a computer technician and her mother Guadalupe worked in a kindergarten. Jennifer's parents were born in Puerto Rico
Jennifer is the second of three sisters. Her older sister, Leslie, is a housewife, who sings opera and her younger sister, Lyndia, is a DJ on New York’s WKTU.
Jennifer took singing and dancing lessons from age 5. She attended 12 years of Catholic school, including an all-girl high school. She played softball and tennis in high school and was a gymnast.

Her debut album "On The 6", which was a reference to line 6 of the subway she used to exit from Castle Hill, was launched on June 1, 1999, and reached the top ten of the Billboard 200.
In 1998 she was awarded as best actress for "Selena".
